Can't telnet into my Tivo Premiere

Hi, I was wondering why I can't telnet into my tive premiere and see the status and run commands. I was trying to setup SIRIPROXY with a Tivo Plugin but the problem I think I am having is that the Tivo simply drops the telnet connection and it does not have a prompt or channel status. Any ideas ? yes I do have network remote control enabled.

EDIT: Shame on me, the reason was tivoremote on my other pc running in the background. I guess it was holding on to the telnet connection.

About the only telnet you can do is for Network Remote control.

What are you wanting to do? Download Video? That is possible with different software like Tivo Desktop, or PyTivo, KMTTG or even just using a web browser "HTTPS://" + your Tivo IP + "/Nowplaying/index.html"
