So You Think You Can Dance "Top 8" 8/29/12 spoilers
Show is just starting here on the West Coast.
If you've already seen it, go ahead and discuss! I'll see you after I've watched the show.

IMO that was a really good show.
The Chehon piece was spellbinding- I was transfixed but again I think the music played a huge part that is hardly ever acknowledged. Or I am overly susceptible.
Heck, I even liked Cyrus last night- just seemed like a strong program all around.

I agree - best of season so far.
Allison is mind blowingly good.

The dancers were all on last night. I can't get over how good Eliana is. I could watch her and Chehon dance all day.

I agree.
So who do you all vote for? I voted for Eliana, Chehon, and Cole last night.

These three were my top picks, though I didn't vote.
I ended up FF through a lot of the judges' comments. I hated many of the numbers, and just wanted to get through the show as fast as possible. I'm so over Sonya, and I thought the music choices from the new hip-hop choreographer stank. Maybe Whitney danced well to keep up with tWitch, but -- meh.
When tWitch and Allison are dancing, and you don't care, that's a bad sign. (They did a great performance together on All The Right Moves.)

I'm sorry, but I don't get the love for Cyrus. Sure, his solos are spellbinding, but his grasp of other styles is really lacking.
He deserves encouragement, but his time on SYTYCD is done, IMO. There are far better all-round dancers that should be there instead of him.

I completely agree.
I also agree about Eliana - her solo was amazing - still hard to believe she is a ballet girl.

Yeah, I thought this week's show was weak overall. My wife and I FF through all the comments anymore and just watch the dancing. We've been talking about how this show just isn't as entertaining for us as it once was.

The dancers were definitely firing on all cylinders this week.
