I thought Penny talked a little too much to the audience and not enough to her co-star. I've worked in community theater, and I know sometimes you have to fudge a little bit in favor of turning towards the audience, sometimes more than a little. But Penny seemed to go far beyond that.

...maybe if she had a mic she wouldn't've had to?

I thought it was just a generic "fast casual" (uggh, that's the real term they use) restaurant.. e.g. Chili's, TGI Friday's, but not exactly like any of them.
Chili's and TGI Fridays are not considered "fast casual" restaurants. Fast casual is like Baja Fresh or Pei Wei where you order at a counter and then go sit down and they bring you your food.

Is there a sitcom about a internet website where people go to talk about a play that takes place within another sitcom where a actress plays a desperately poor aspiring actress is actually a real actress that gets paid $350,000 per episode?

Yeah---I didn't watch BBT for a number of years because after seeing the first couple episodes I was underwhelmed by the writing. In the past 3-4 months I've been catching up as it is in syndication on TBS, Fox, and at least one other place, I believe. I usually have access to 3-4 episodes a night.

You are forgiven. My nephew didn't watch until about a year ago but his dad and I would talk about the show in front of him. He finally broke down and watched the whole series. Now he joins in but sometimes he references an old episode that we have to try to remember.

Welcome to the madness.

Yeah, I knew that… and at one point even thought of Olive Garden then didn't think of it when I was listing restaurants.

I guess "lowest of low end sit down restaurants" is the best description I can make.

My 'significant other' and I hardly watch any of the same TV shows, but she has adopted BBT and loves it. Now when I am over there there is something for me to watch on her TiVo other than Dr. Phil and other anti-men TV shows.

They bring you your food at Baja Fresh? I don't think any of the ones around here do that...

Well, the point is it's not like McDonald's or Subway where you order, they hand you your food, and then you go sit down. In Fast Casual, you order, and then generally sit down while the food is prepared. Whether you then go back to the counter to pick it up or whether they bring it to you, that doesn't really matter.

It's been a while since I've been to Baja Fresh. I can't remember if they brought it or if I had to go back and pick it up at the counter when it was ready.

You order in one place. You pick up in another.
