standing in front satellite causes reboot

I have a Series 2 TIVO and blocking the satellite signal for a few seconds causes a reboot. Is there anything that could cause this other than a faulty recorder?

Thanks
Bob

DirecTivos can do funny things if they lose satellite signals. I suppose the easy fix is don't stand in front of your dish. Or mount your dish higher.

Yes, rebooting on signal loss is not unheard of in DTiVos.

Thanks for the replies. This dish is for our rv which is mounted close to the ground. I will make sure to locate it out of the traffic ares.
