Premiere 4 Stream/Bundle Deal

I just pulled the plug on the 4 deal. I already have a stream so i removed it from the bundle and got the 4 for 187. Also got the Moca adaptor for 34 dollars. I didnt need the adaptor but that is a great price. Also fantastic price on the 4

Order PlacedMarch 6, 2013 1 ECB (Ethernet MoCA bridge) $34.88 $34.88

I would buy the 4 only if I could transfer my lifetime from my premiere. Another $399 for another lifetime is insane.

I did pick up the stream for 100 and change with shipping and tax which is cheaper then anywhere else I could get it.

Decent deal if you are just coming in, but if you already have a life time it's still too pricey.

I did the same thing in reverse. I loaded up the bundle and then backed out the Premiere and MOCA and still got the Stream for $90 plus shipping.

I dont have lifetime on any of my Tivos. I doubt i would ever keep them long enough to make up the cost compared to buying lifetime.

In for a Tivo Stream for $100 shipped. Was trying to wait for a Series 5 with Stream built in, but $30 off was just to enticing.

After 6 years without Tivo, I finally pulled the trigger on this bundle, sans the MoCA adapter. Just have to sort out the cable card and premium channels, and I will be golden.

This came today. Premiere 4 is great so far. Speed of unit is dead on to my 2 Tuner ones. I really love the moca adaptor over the fios routers i was using. takes out a splitter

I don't think there is a huge difference in speed between the 2 tuner and 4 tuner units. I notice random bouts of sluggishness on both since switching to the HDUI. If TiVo really does release a new 6 tuner unit this fall I'll probably upgrade just to get the improved UI speed even though I don't actually need 6 tuners.

To be honest... the speed never really bothered me compared to what some people complained about.. people then complained the 4 was slower but i dont see it yet

If you've never used the SD UI, the HD UI is sluggish as heck.. But I've gotten used to a lot of the features, and after switching back and forth a bunch of times, have been almost completely in HD UI (except when it switches itself, e.g. going to Settings) for many months.

Personally, I use the "very inaccurate" FSI ALL THE TIME. (It's very inaccurate because my Tivo starts nuking recently deleted & suggestions when it's in the low 70%, and IMHO should only delete them when it absolutely needs space NOW, which is how the S1 seemed to behave regarding suggestions.)

See and maybe that is the big difference I came from Direct TV's HDUI and have used Verizons HDUI and comparison wise, the Tivo HDUI is a dream in terms of speed lol..

Even on newer hardware the Direct TV HDUI is slow

Are these a 1 yr. minimum commit? I have to move to cable for about 3-4 months (could be longer) is that possible, with a slightly higher fee maybe?

Lifetime. You'll always come out ahead, and if you don't want it later on, sell it.
