'The Office' to conclude after this season

In a conference call with reporters, EP Greg Daniels has confirmed that this will be the last season of The Office. Breaking on Twitter from Variety's Stuart Levine, NYT's Brian Stelter, and others.

Hallelujah.

It ended for me the night Michael Scott said goodbye. Good to know I only have to suffer through one more season. My wife insists on continuing to watch.

SP was canceled after this season (and probably a season or two too late)...

In reality, the end was after the wedding. Sure there were a few moments after that, but it has been downhill ever since then, and the big drop-off after Michael left.

I watched a few of the non-michael eps...they were ok, but it fell off the map for me. I don't even watch it to help me fall asleep - and that bar is super low.

We'll go to the end. Yeah it's not as good as the early seasons, but still better than a ot of the crap on these days.

I stopped watching around halfway through this last season. Greg Daniels coming back might get me to try it again. Here's hoping he eliminates the Nellie character quickly.

Someone on Twitter already suggested that he'd definitely want to come back, in order to qualify for a "guest star" Emmy.

The one thing that could be the saving grace for this last season is Greg Daniels back as the showrunner. It gives me a little bit of hope.

I'll watch it to the end. What do I have to lose?

I'll still be watching. It's not as good as it was at the beginning, but I've got 8 seasons invested, so what's one more?

I'm still hanging on if only for the occasional Creed moment.

Creed and Jesse

Yeah. I'll watch, too. I have so many seasons invested. It'd be silly not to.

One thing that I have read that they will finally reveal, that should be worth watching, is...

Spoiler:
Who has spent the last nine years filming a documentary on a paper company.

Michael Scott is the Office. Without him it's just a job.
