Subscriber Fee Question

OK. So I just recently purchased a second Premiere XL. My question is if I buy a lifetime subscription on one, will I get the reduced monthly fee on the second, which I believe is 12.99?

I guess I could just call Tivo and ask them.

As long as you have one FULL PRICE sub, you will get the discount on the other.

Thank you WT. So it sounds like if I pay the 499.00 lifetime fee on the first box, I should get the discounted monthly sub fee on the second. I'm just trying to avoid so much upfront costs.

Yes, its called Multiple Service Discount or MSD. It would be 12.99 MSD or 14.99 monthly, Lifetime is 399.99 MSD.

Theoretically I suppose you could sign up one at $14.95 per month, one year obligation, and get lifetime on the other one for $399.99 instead of $499.99

If you got rid of the monthly one after that year was up, the other one would still be lifetimed, but could not be anchor for MSD for you for some other second TiVo.

This is exactly what I ended up doing.

I kept the first one at 14.95 monthly. And went with lifetime for 399.99 on the second one.

It's so awesome having two Tivos now. I love using the Multi Room Viewing. Now I don't have to worry about getting a cable card installed on the second one.
