This is getting frustrating and I cannot figure out the problem. My conclusion, however, is that the problem is Tivo-related, NOT TV or cable related...
Sometimes one tuner won't recognize channels and you just have a black screen and the little Tivo banner that says the channel is not authorized.
It doesn't matter WHAT channel that tuner is on. It seems to be about a tuner thing. Both Tivos do this sometimes, each of which is hooked up to a different tv.
It often resolves itself but meanwhile, if something is recording you don't get the content. If you are watching live you don't get the content. Sometimes I've had to restart the Tivo and then it's fine again.
I don't think I should have to do that and it really pisses me off when these Premieres are only a few months old and my TVs and all connections are in good order. It's NOT about any kind of cable downage. It's very specifically about one tuner not working right sometimes.
Any ideas if there is a way to make this stop? TIA
