The Office eps (1-31-2013) Spoilers

Well the seeds are planted for an affair with the now former sound guy on the crew.

Dwight's storyline was strange because it's rare to see him not be in control so to speak and to watch him crumble under all the interview failures seemed odd.

Overall fairly enjoyable set of episodes.

Not bad. The warehouse guy reminded me of Roy's lunge at Jim.

The photographer at the senator's house is the deaf interpreter on JS. Who else?

Lance Krall, who played "Kip - the Gay Guy" on the original Schmo was Dwight's sensei.

I didn't really like these episodes. They seemed a little bit bitter or nasty in tone and didn't have a lot of laughs.

The opening of the first one(?) was odd. Where the camera is on the floor and crazy drunk lady is I guess trying to chat with the boom mic guy and he quickly cuts off the conversation and leaves and she seems upset and plops down in her chair.

Did I miss something, was there something funny I missed there?

I don't think I'd call that "trying to chat" ... she made a sexual advance/ sex-themed pun at him and then he said he's not supposed to interact with the subjects.

What the heck was the Clark talking about/saying when interviewing with Dwight for the job? Some Japanesse/Koren type name that allowed him to get out an unwinnable situation?

To avoid you having to watch the movie, it is the name of a training simulation in Star Trek where the Kobyashi Maru is stranded and needs rescuing. The situation is unsinkable. The captain in training is judged on how they react rather than winning. Captain Kirk actually won because he changed the program itself. He cheated by changing the rules.

Well, if you ask him he will say he didn't cheat - he changed the conditions of the test. And got a commendation for original thinking. He doesn't like to lose.

I thought it was extremely clever. That scene was the only way for the audience to witness a private conversation between Pam and boom guy.

Curious to see where they go with the Pam/Brian thing.

It would be perfectly normal for her to have a crush on someone else and it doesn't have to be relationship ending. I hope they don't make it so.

Now, James Urbaniak, that was funny stuff right there. The intern said something to him to the effect of how the interviews were turning into an episode of Homeland...

The show does seem to have a theme...

Pam is with Roy... But goes for Jim.
Pam is with Jim... And was friended by a fellow student, that was so friendly, it caused Jim to propose early.
