I thought the chatter heading over the Mexican border was pretty funny, first car ever pulled over heading into Mexico...

Same here.

For what it is it is usually watchable, and sometimes even enjoyable.

History Channel, for the love of all that is holy, STOP CALLING IT TOP GEAR!!!!
Name it something else, I'm sure it is eroding at the Top Gear brand.

The thing that stinks is UK Top Gear is so good. It boggles my mind that an American that likes cars, wouldn't like that show. UK drives such amazing cars. The US version just drives Cadillacs and Corvettes. Don't get me wrong, I like Cadillacs and Corvettes, but European cars are so much nicer.

Thanks, Phox. I've been saying that since the first episode of series one!

I mean, come on! They even had to CGI in the fireworks, for Pete's sake.

Change the name and disassociate this with a REAL TV program already!

Very few of the cars in the U.K. version are actually made in the U.K. A Pagani is no more a domestic car in the U.K. than it is here in the U.S. But we also know that the cars in the U.K. version are provided by the manufacturers. They are not bought by the show. I suspect the U.S. version is so poorly looked upon that they just don't have the same opportunities.

I think the 'split the block' line was crap - that wasn't that hard of a hit. The producers found the bus rickshaw and needed to 'kill' the bus.

I guess the UK adventures are rigged too, some less obviously than the TG USA ones though.
