Storage Wars star Mark Balelo commits suicide

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...r-drug-arrest/

‘Storage Wars’ star Mark Balelo was found dead on Monday, two days after being arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, according to multiple reports.

Suicide is suspected as Balelo was found dead in his car in the garage of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning, TMZ reports. They cited sources saying Balelo was distraught after his arrest.

In one of the articles I read that Dave Hester has filed a lawsuit claiming the series is fake and that expensive items are planted inside the lockers. I always suspected this. What little I know of storage auctions is that any valuable items are often cleaned out by customers ahead of time, leaving worthless old clothes and junk furniture.

Wonder if he was still on probation from his 2009 drug conviction and was afraid of serving hard time.

Sad for him and his friends and family but i do think it's overstating things to call him a star on the show. He was only in a couple of episodes at most and probably will be most remembered for thinking he had found an valuable Nintendo System when it turns out that it wasn't worth all that much.

I can't place him is he the one that kept accusing the auctioneers of favor some people over others?

I'm in a place with better connection now, the link will load I see it's the man purse guy. I didn't think the one I thought it was could be a meth head or commit suicide.

No, that was Jeff something-or-other.

Mark was your stereotypical Hispanic.

Really? I got more of a Russian vibe. (not that he was the stereotypical Russian, just that he was Russian.)

I'm hispanic and I didn't think "whoa, that's one of my peeps."

RIP dude, your episode where you thought a broken NES was worth $13,000 is a classic.

We've watched numerous episodes of this show but I don't recall ever seeing this guy. Was he just in a few early eps?

I wouldn't say early but it has been a bit. His most prominent episode IMO was the one above where he thought the eBay auction that had a really valuable game in original packaging along with an original nintendo meant that all original nintendos were valuable.
