Brenda Lee is back!
This is the first of the last 6 episodes of The Closer. The spin-off, Major Crimes, will replace it in August.

I'm wondering if that bit at the end is foreshadowing as to why Brenda leaves the force...

Brenda never gives up. I bet she keeps hassling Stroh, and that somehow gets her fired. Maybe they can write it so that she has to make a choice between catching Stroh and her job, and she chooses Stroh. Or maybe she sets up Stroh and when he comes (PNI) to rape her, she kills him.

Really good episode. She was soooooo disappointed that it was the bartender and not the lawyer. It was good to see that while she was right, she was so blinded by her desire to punish Stroh that it nearly compromised the entire investigation. It shows that while her instincts are usually spot on, she can miss once in a while.
I can't wait to see how she goes out and Raydor gets the job and starts the spinoff.

I liked how she turned the Johnson Rule around to her advantage.

And to set up the "Major Crimes" spin-off. The remaining characters are worth watching - including the ADA and the Judge.

She did and pronounced her last name "Jawnson"...makes me grind my teeth. Her contrived accent is now even more over the top.
That said, I found the episode underwhelming. It's time for Brenda Leigh to move on and let the team carry the flag.
