mini access recordings on non-Premieres? (S3, pyTivoNAS)

I have a new Roamio, 2-tuner Premiere and old S3 (which is my main box)...
I am considering swapping the Premiere for a Mini, to make more portable and simplify ToDo / now playing lists...

However, I have significant recordings on my S3, and would want to watch them on the mini.
I know of course I cannot stream directly from S3 to mini.

But is there a way to "browse" other tivo's NowPlaying list, from the Mini UI?
eg can I select my S3 at the bottom of Mini(roamio) NP list, transfer a recording from S3 to Roamio, then stream from roamio to mini?
Same for recordings on pyTivo NAS...

or would I have to actually go to the Roamio UI, transfer from the S3, then go to Mini UI and stream from roamio?

Can I stream a program, that is still in process of transferring?

You can use the Roamio as the middleman and transfer shows from the older boxes and then stream to the mini.

Yeah, the mini uses MRS that is not supported by the S3 models, so the Premiere would have to stay in the mix.

Initiate a move from the S3 to the Premiere and then initiate a stream from Premiere to the Mini.

Same method when playing via a network file share using pyTiVo or TiVo desktop connection. I do wish they would implement MRS for file share streaming.

Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but it would be the only way to make it work.

Understood I have to use one of the premieres as a middleman,
but the question is how I initiate the transfer from the S3 to a premiere,
eg to the Roamio the mini is attached to.

Can I start that transfer from the mini's UI?
eg is there a list of other Tivo's in the mini's Now Playing list, that I can say "transfer this" [to the roamio] and then play?
or do I have to do it specifically from the roamio UI itself?

and, once it starts transferring, can I start streaming immediately?

Not from the Mini directly. If you have an IOS / Android App, you can do it from that tool pretty easily.

YES
