Roamio remote questions

I have a few questions about the remotes that comes with the Roamio plus and mini's.
I'm trying to see if I can minimize my mini purchases in some way.

I'll have my Roamio plus in my living room and I have a small TV nearby in my kitchen already with coax available. My though was to connect the coax from the Roamio (via a component to coax converter I have) to the kitchen TV.
I have a Harmony One remote (IR) that I'd be using for the Roamio in the living room, but I'm wondering if I can use the Roamio remote in the kitchen for double duty as RF. In other words, can the Roamio receive the IR signals from my living room Harmony remote, yet, also receive commands from the kitchen remote using RF? I'm guessing the Roamio can only be set up to receive one or another?

With this same concept, if I have a mini in my guest bedroom set to receive RF commands, could I also connect a coax from the mini to my study and use two remotes (RF)?

This would save me from having to buy 4 mini's, one for kitchen, guest room, study, and master bedroom.

Is any of this plausable?

Regarding the Roamio picking up signals. Yes the IR and RF are functional at the same time. You can use an IR remote or the RF remote with the same Roamio.

That is good news for me then. Do you know if this is the same for the mini's, or are the mini's only IR based?

One other question I thought of. If I use the remote in the kitchen as RF to talk to the Roamio, then the IR part of the remote would turn on my kitchen TV as well (it can be programmed?), is that correct?

Minis are IR only. Yes you can program the TiVo Roamio remote to control your kitchen TV since you're not using/programming it to use in the main room where you use the Harmony.

You can get a bluetooth slide remote for your mini. Then you can connect/control two rooms/TV.s from one mini. hook up 1 tv to hdmi and the other tv with breakout component cables. Or both tv's with hdmi with $20 powered hdmi splitter. Unfortunately slide remotes are hard to come by affordably anymore.

Good idea. The new ones should be releasing soon.

I dont expect the new slide to be able to control his mini from the other room so old slide would be the only viable option. Correct me if im wrong. Seems like there should be a hardware refresh on the mini to support RF. Also, the minis only come with series 4 premier remote that lacks the back button that series5 remotes have. Wont this be a problem if future apps require this button?

Why would you think that? The new remote is RF from what I understand.

I expect the new slide RF remote that Dave Zatz has spied will come with (or optionally you could buy) a usb dongle that enables RF for any non-Roamio boxes.

I am not sure if the HTML5 require the back button or not.

Does anyone know if you can program the Roamio remote to turn both your TV and receiver on/off at the same time. Like you can do with the GLO remote?

Does anyone have any further info on this? I've got my mini set up in my Guest Bedroom, next door to my study. I've got a/v output to my TV in the study so the signal/audio is fine on that TV but I have no way to control it with a RF or bluetooth remote now.

Is there actually a RF remote available and, if so, could I use two RF remotes in the study (one for me and one for her)?

Yes there is.

There are two purchase options, both are the the same remote, but the premiere/mini option means it comes with the dongle.
