Will Tivo HD's & Roamio's Play Well With Directv Tivos?

I may be moving in a year or so, and may have the option of going with Directv. I know that Tivo HD's and Roamios won't work with satelite, but can they be used for MRV and transferring programs to/from a Directv Tivo receiver?

So it won't even work if you use TiVo desktop to send the programs to your PC first, then over to the other TiVo?

Nope. The DirecTV TiVo doesn't support MRV of any kind, nor PC connection.

DirecTV is VERY careful about protecting the copyrights of the content they deliver. The TiVo multi-room technology doesn't meet their standards so they required that it be disabled in the DirecTV TiVos. They never have and likely never will transfer to a PC (they, like TiVo, don't even allow downloads to jail-broken iOS devices and won't allow a download to a rooted Android device).
