Is there a market for TiVo Series 1's?

I have 2 working Series 1 TiVo's that I am finally retiring. Is there still a market for these workhorses?

Both have extra HD brackets. One comes with an internal network adapter.

If needed I could throw in the digital settop boxes that I have them controlling for digital OTA tv tuning.

They have given me many years of great service and I would love it if they could be of use to someone.

some people are interested in internal network adapter on eBay, and sometimes people will buy the network adapters here.

It seems to me that I remember that Series 1 TiVos will record without a subscription in the manual mode. So you think a TiVo would be worth something to some real cheap person that doesn't want to spend $30 for a lifetime Series 2 on eBay. That would have to be one seriously cheap person though. But I still see people buying VCRs at the thrift store and they are using them to record broadcast TV!!

I might be interested, if they have network adapters. I don't have a landline and need a tivo for a spare bedroom.

If you mean shipping the entire TiVo, figure at least $20, and maybe up around $30 or so, depending on weight, box size, destination, etc.

Parcel Post may be cheaper if you're only sending it a few counties away.

Lately I've found that fedex ground is the cheapest.
