Question Copy and expand THR22 original HD to new internal 2TB HD?

I have a THR22 with the original drive and would like to replace it with a 2TB internal while keeping all of the data. Anyone have any suggestions/pointers/how-tos for accomplishing this?

Appreciate help with this.

I tried to do this and failed. It isn't quite like regular TiVos and not like regular DirecTV DVRs either. There is an attempt at instructions over at DDB but they did not work for me. Haven't found anyone who claimed success.

If you can live with starting over, just stick in the disk and it does the rest. Or use an eSATA external disk.

When I have the time I think I'll give the partial instructions you refer to a try. Thanks for the pointer.
