They may have asked for it back, who knows. But to respond the way you did is even more strange than letting Colton keep the buff..
Maybe they ought to treat quitters Game of Throne style. Hang their buffs on a pole, with their name on them and a sign underneath that says "quitter"

Do they usually let people who quit back to the reunion? He may be in the audience with Caleb's family, but I didn't think they would let him back.

I can't remember what the situation was but they made a comment about Tyson and they immediately cut to Aras. (going back to the prior week when Tyson was showing with his arms around Aras in a strangely weird pose.

I think it was when they were talking about his cupcake belt in a very innuendo-like fashion.

you're probably right, it was after an innuendo. Their camera shots are usually pretty funny and spot on. I wonder what we're missing on this relationship?

Culpepper's wife is on a different tribe from Cierra. The loved ones were down a person so they couldn't sit anyone out and had to play both of their weak girls.

On other seasons (has there been more than 1?) of RI didn't they only allow 1 person from each tribe to watch the challenge? I kind of like having everyone there. We've seen some good verbal sparring which should make the merge very interesting.

I believe you are correct. One person would go and then report back to the entire tribe.

They kinda have to have everyone go this season though, with the twist that the loved ones can sub in.

I don't know how to find and link the picture, but a memorable scene for us was when Culpepper's wife was standing there next to Rupert's wife. There were at least 4 things in that shot that when compared to each other made for a moment of laughter. And strangely, there wasn't a clear winner.

Now you're just being silly. A close loss means you had a chance to win. Which means you have a chance to win the next one. If you vote out a strong player because "we lost with him anyway" and now you're losing by a big margin, the clear implication is that you've decreased your chances of winning the NEXT challenge.

I listened to the EW podcast where Colton tried to say that he quit the game to save his fiance. Since he was going to be voted out next, he did not want his fiance to take his place at redemption island. So he quit because he is a great guy, not because he is a racist quitter.

And he did say that he does not have the buff. They took it away from him. He also "confirmed, for the record" that he did not quit the previous season and does not know what Jeff was talking about

Ugg! So Colton basically said "I know Caleb would have taken my place in Redemption so I left so he wouldn't take my place." Really? He's so full of it!

Just more drama and getting more time in front of the mics and camera's and reporters. Quit to save his fiance. BS.

Time to stop talking about the d-bag and get on with the game.

It's possible that they skipped showing us some rounds, but I don't think they did.

Here's what I think actually happened:
  • Each round alternated boys, then girls, then boys, etc.
  • The loved ones tribe had 5 guys
  • Culpepper was in round 1, John in round 3, Hayden in round 5, Vytas in round 7
  • The "first team to win 5" competition finished in 8 rounds (5 to 3)
  • Caleb would have been in round 9, but the competition ended before that.

I would agree because I would think there would be a lot of entertainment value in watching him battle.

Have to comment before finishing the thread because I'll be late for work.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Jeff beat he sh*t out of Colton. I hope it actually makes Colton feel more hated by the world (if that itself wasn't just an act to get his boyfriend on the show). I agree it would have been satisfying to see him knocked into the water, but this was somehow more satisfying if only because of Jeff.

I have to say I hope Colton's boyfriend doesn't win the game. I'd hate for Colton to be rewarded by association.

The only thing I was hoping for was Colton's BF telling him to get off his lap and saying that he didn't want to be with a "quitter" That would have been the ultimate in awesome!

I have refused to watch this season because they brought back Colton. My sister-in-law convinced me to watch the first part of this episode to see him eliminated and Jeff throw-him-under-the-bus.

I wasn't really satisfied. What Steveknj said would have been cool, but what I would really like to see is his boyfriend win the game, then turn to Colton at the finale, dump his ass and say, "I was only using you to get on Survivor in the first place, quitter!"

I know that's an awful thing to hope for. I'm so ashamed.

...or to get them REALLY high! Imagine how much that would hurt??

As a nation we need to all get together and agree that it's morally ok to wish Colton unhappiness.

I know this thread is pretty much dead at this point but I have to toss this out there. I know we don't know Caleb very well, but he seems like a nice guy. I really think he deserves better than Colton.

So far from what they've shown us of him, I agree, but he DOES possess the huge personality flaw that he finds Colton desirable.
