want to buy Premiere 4-tuner and a Slide Remote

Want to buy a 4-tuner TiVo, and/or a Slide remote.
I see XL4s on ebay going for as low as $150.
PM me with price and model.

You realize those are without lifetime right? An XL4 with lifetime will cost at least $450.

OK just making sure.

I saw in another thread that woot has a deal for a XL4 with Stream for $250. The Stream is worth about $100 so it puts a new box in your range.

Thanks Dan, I see it.
lifetime question.
I have a non-commitment $15/mo used Premiere I just bought, it was in-service for like 2-3 years. If I get an XL4 and lifetime it I assume it will be $399 for lifetime. If I then sell the orig Premiere, does my lifetime fee change on the XL4. or does it just make the XL4 a non-MSD if I buy a 3rd Tivo.

same scenario, but just do a monthly plan on the XL4, that would be $12.99 since it's my 2nd Tivo, then if I sell the Premiere does my XL4 Tivo rate go up to $15?

Lifetime is forever, you'll never be charged more after the fact. However that unit will never be able to be used as a primary unit meaning you'll never get a MSD discount if it's the only TiVo on your account.

Your second scenario is correct. If you have two monthly units one will be $15 and one will be $13. If you get rid of the $15 one then the $13 one will go up to $15.

Thanks Dan, I'm getting it. ya can't trick ol' TiVo. only flexibility to the rules seems sometimes on older boxes, and your loyalty history. what a lot of original Premiere owners are waiting for.

it was funny, TiVoCo looked up my acct and kept telling me I'd had my Premiere since 2010, when I just set up an acct a month ago. seems like they primarily follow the activation period and not the acct holder.

the seller gave me a ref code # and told me I would get her $12.99 rate but TiVo said it didn't have the $12.99 rate. no biggie, the Premiere was free, since I sold off some accessories it came with. and I'm gonna upgrade when I see a great deal, was watching XL4s but probably smarter to get Roamioed.

Thanks but if I'm investing in a Premiere I want the top model, plus XL4s are getting close to $100+ on ebay.
