NBC renews Hannibal

The renewal is for another 13-episode season, to debut "no earlier than midseason."
I recently got caught up on this show and found it to be pretty good. Leaps and bounds way better than The Following. Glad to see more of it next season.

Good news. I'm enjoying it, too.

The guy who plays Lecter mesmerizes me. I don't think I've seen him in anything else. He is so very creepy in every single way - every mannerism, every facial expression, his clothes, the way he stands, and the way he walks. Good job! This is a depiction that makes me wonder if I would ever be able to see this actor in any other way.

I think he was in the James Bond movie "Casino Royale". He was the bad guy that would bleed from an eye when he got angry. I think that was how it worked.

Mads Mikkelsen plays Hannibal. He was the main baddie in Casino Royale a few years ago and also played a part in the Clash of the Titans remake.

This is my favorite show these days! I'm glad it got renewed, but it is so good I felt sure somebody online or on-cable would pick it up.

Glad to see it got renewed. I've got them all saved up and hadn't started watching, but now that I know the show has a future, I'll make an effort to watch them this summer.

I believe I heard the show is doing terrible on NBC, but the show is almost fully paid for outside the US. So, NBC isn't really losing much since they aren't paying for the show to be produced. The show is also a critical success. It's just that nobody is watching it.

I watched like 4-5 episodes of the show and liked it. Need to watch the rest of the shows I have on my DVR.

I'm 3 episodes behind and I'm really liking it. I almost didn't even bother when I saw how bad the ratings were but I'm really glad I gave it a shot. Even though I can't understand a word Mads Mikkelsen says (have to use closed captions), I think he's doing an awesome job as Hannibal.

The ratings aren't all that bad for an NBC show.

I watched the first 3 and really dug them, but I haven't had a chance to watch Ep 4 yet (which is only online, since NBC didn't air it due to Boston Marathon bombing), and have the rest on my DVR.

Anyway, glad to hear it was renewed, since what I've seen has been very good.

FWIW I skipped the online episode and don't feel like I've missed anything.

I think they didn't air it more because of that guy shooting all those kids in that elementary school. The episode they pulled had to do with kids being brainwashed to kill other kids or something.

I wish he enunciated better. It's hard to understand him.

(I think I enjoy The Following more. Both are very very very very gory though, and I knew what I was getting into of course. It's kind of funny when the show about Norman Bates is the tame one!)
