Minor issues - but like most minor issues - annoying. kmttg & VideoRedo do a great job of downloading, decoding & removing commercials from TiVo broadcast videos. After which, pyTiVo will deliver them back to their respective TiVos (2). The kmttg config provides for file naming enhancements which then become part of the video file name. The metadata option creates a metadata file with the details of the video & carries with it, the file name with the kmttg enhancements. So for an original video titled 'Today', kmttg config add [month] and [mday] recorded to the file name would then change to 'Today Mar 06' as an example.
When the kmttg process is complete, the server folder then has 2 files; Today Mar 06.mpg and Today Mar 06.mpg.txt. So far, so good. When served back to TiVo with pyTiVo, however, any file name enhancements are non-existent, so only Today appears. By modifying the metadata file, I am able to change the title to Today Mar 06 which does stay with the video when served back to TiVo.
I know that I am probably missing something obvious, but after hours of experimentation, I am at a loss.
The other issue relates to the final step in the kmttg process, having pyTivo 'Push' back the video to TiVo. This always fails with an internal server error, however, from the pyTiVo web config, I am able to manually 'Push' the video back without a problem. Again, I attribute this to 'user ignorance'!
