Series 3, HD with a Dead hard drive...

So, My series 3, HD tivo's hard drive just pooped out (it was due after 3 1/2 years) and I ordered a new tivo premier box from Tivo for $150.
My question is, what can I do with my old box? If I replace the HD, I really don't think I can even get on craigs list or ebay what I would pay for a replacement HD, right?
Seems like such a waste to just chuck it. Wanted to see if I was missing anything...any ideas?

If it has lifetime service, it's definitely worth spending about $100 to fix. If it doesn't, then probably not...

If working E-Bay price is from $50 to about $80, not enough to purchase and replace the drive.

OLED S3 or Tivo HD? OLED S3 is actually worth it to some people for parts.

The power supply is worth $30 to $50. I'd sell it "for parts" on eBay.
