TIVO Rebooting at EXACTLY the same time

I've had Tivos die before and I've had to replace them when they start rebooting randomly on their own. But in the last couple days, mine's started rebooting itself *exactly* 26 minutes after the hour and 4 minutes before the hour. You could set a clock by it. If it was just hardware failure, I'd expect it to be a bit more random, but with it being *so* regular, I'm wondering if it's something more.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Is it a DirecTV Tivo? There's a serious rebooting problem with them, often shortly before the hour. It's probably a guide data problem, and DirecTV says they're working on it.

My Tivo is too small!

We have 3 tv sets with 3 tivos. Starting a few weeks ago, they began rebooting a fair bit, usually together. Then it got to be several times a day. By last week, when I called DTV for help, they were going off 5-7 x a day. Medic came Sunday, tried dealing with each set individually--by then 8-10 times per day. (He didn't really believe us about the synchronizing.) Called him back Sun aft (don't like calling DTV on this--they dock the workers if there's any hitch), he's coming back this aft.; says only thing he can think of is to replace the multiswitch. Starting a 5:50 something this a.m., it's been going off roughly every 18-22 minutes, and taking 8-10 minutes to reset. Two of the sets have been mostly synchronized on thiese starts--4 out of 5 exact times; 5th within 5 min. of each other. 3rd set I haven't kept track of as much, but it doesn't seem to be going off as often--maybe 2x in 3 hours--& it's fits doesn't match up to the others at all. What's going on? Has anybody foound a fix?

Long thread here for DirecTV TiVos. No solution yet, but DirecTV is supposedly working on it.

Don't worry about it.

You're paying DirecTV for service and you're not getting it.

What arrangements they have with their workers isn't your concern. If they don't like it, let them find another job.

You've got a problem, and it's up to DirecTV and their employees to fix it.
