Several times a day while watching tv the receiver quits, then resets itself.
Any help to fix this ?
Just red thru all posts on both threads.( If it helps I'm in the Phoenix metro area ).
I've had a lot of CS contact with Direct but no help. First told by 2 CSR's that " it's a software problem and should be fixed in 72 hours, if it isn't, call us back ".
Wasn't fixed, called back, was told the same thing with " about a week " substituted for "72 hours".
Got angry, asked to be transferred to Customer Retention Department, got them, told them everything, and they offered me what they called a " DVR Upgrade " free. Accepted it, even though they could not tell me what model I would get, since they would not know what was in stock at the warehouse when it was shipped. The paperwork smply says it is a DIRECTV Plus® DVR.
Read in these posts about a possible cause being the phone connection, checked it and it was not working. Selected another phone #, connection worked fine, will watch for more rebooting if none happens for 12 hours or so will report that here, also if reboot does happen.
