The Inbetweeners
Anyone else see this new show on MTV? I saw a commercial for it during Teen Wolf and thought it looked kinda interesting. Just finished the first episode and I thought it was pretty funny. I laughed out loud multiple times and I don't laugh out loud all that often watching TV.
I know there is a UK version of the show. I'm now wanting to check that out.

I'm watching it because it was filmed here in Orlando and they used a lot of the same actors I work with for smaller parts. So I'm playing "spot the person I've worked with," otherwise it's barely watchable.

It is definitely not a show for everyone. Probably for very few people. I was actually shocked that I liked it. It is filled with a lot of crude humor that made me laugh.

I have watched a bit of the British version on Netflix (available for instant viewing) and liked it. Not a great show but an enjoyable way to pass 20 minutes or so.

I started to watch the British version and slowly became uninterested.
I was surprised how much I liked this new version
- since historically I think Americans re-doing good Brit TV is usually a fail.
It will be interesting to see if it holds up.

I LOVED the British version. I am pretty much a British TV hater but this one was fantastic IMHO. I don't know if I want to watch the MTV version. My guy feeling is that it will suck. I saw the actors and wasn't impressed at all.

I had watched the British version of the show some time back. It was entertaining but not that much hilarious like I thought. The various day-to-day scenarios that the four friends face and how they tackle was bit intriguing.
But the best part is that the US version of the show is slight different and there are a lot of funny moments. I hope that like how the British version won many awards and got recognition, in the same way the American version gets the same. Lets wait and see.

I'm most of the way through the 2nd season of the UK show. I noticed the US version on Hulu but haven't watched it yet.

Zack Pearlman makes an exceptionally compelling argument to legalize post-pubescent abortion.

I have a comparative question between the British version and the American version on the second episode where the kid gets the new unstylish car...

I'm good friends with the ride operator from this episode. And noticed a model/actress I know was the blonde cheerleader. I haven't identified any of the neighborhoods they've shot in. Of course, the theme park stuff was shot at Universal Studios.

I had watched this show. It's actually quite a high concept idea of posh looking/speaking young man and placing him with ordinary looking teenagers of today.

How many episodes are in the MTV season? I think the British series was only about 18 episodes or so.

ahhhhhh
thank you - glad I added the spoiler tag
i find it incredibly interesting when the US redoes a UK show - I remember Queer As Folk was almost a verbatim re-enactment up until they ran out of the UK scripts.

I've now seen all of The Inbetweeners. Watched all 18 episodes of the British TV show and the movie. Liked the show, but did not love it.
Simon and Jay really annoyed me by the end. Their characters were just annoying human beings.

Watched the first two episodes of the US version. I don't think you'd find it funny unless you saw the original one first. Just seems...odd.

I saw the US version first and thought it was funny. Got me to seek out the UK version.

Is UK Season 3 (episodes 13-18) available from legitimate (non-torrent) sources?

I watched the first one on MTV. I didn't expect it to be as edgy as it was. I never expected MTV to show a boner.
