TiVo Premiere 4 - When Available at Retail
Does anyone know when the TiVo Premiere 4 will be available at retail? Specifically Amazon

Well amazon says 2-3 weeks and best buy shows 7-30 days so there must be a supply issue.

That's what I'm hoping for. Right now $300 is a good deal for the XL4, but you never know what Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals you'll get.

Amazon now has the XL4 for $318 plus shipping.
If you are thinking about it don't wait. They had this price several weeks ago and I hesitated and it was gone. Been waiting for it to come back since.
Just pulled the trigger.

TiVo elite $325 from electronics expo. Just on it quick! I'm going to pass because there really isn't anything on TV I watch that warrants this over my premiere .

I too was going to post about the EE Elite @ $325. This a much better deal than the P4. Also, I think the XL4 will easily hit $299 around BF. It may even reach $279.

Local Bestbuy price matched Amazons $358 price today on the XL4.
No questions asked. I also had some rewards i redeemed for it.
Amazon is local so I would have payed sales tax either way

That's around the price I paid for my second Elite from BestBuy when they first dropped the retail price to $400 in April. I used a 10% off coupon.
Although that Elite does not have the THX logo on the faceplate for some reason.

I'd be all over this, but...
NO OTA decoding. Fail. I really hope that when they come around to doing a "Series 5", they don't remove OTA decoding, or I'm stuck with my Series 4.

Just a question... if you don't like the HD interface or find it slow, is it still possible to switch back to the SD interface on the Premiere XL4? Thanks!
