Tivo Grey Screen of death

I have a Tivo series 3, TCD648250B. I had the original hard drive die a couple of months ago, and replaced it with a new WD AV-GP WD10EURX 1TB hard drive. The drive worked great for awhile, then the unit died again. I'd unplug it, plug it back in and the welcome powering up screen comes up and then it just goes grey with all 4 lights on the front of the unit still lit. I did some research online and found that most people equate this to a bad power supply. I purchased another power supply off ebay, one that said it was tested working from a reseller with 100% positive feedback. Installed the new PS and same results.

Could it be my motherboard has gone bad? I did test the WD hd on my computer and ran diagnostics. It came up fine.

Thanks for any help!
Chuck

Did you try WDidle3? I that cured my grey screen on my HD after replacing the harddrive.
