Red face True Blood S5E7 "In the Beginning" OAD 7/22/12

Well, I guess everyone is feeling the same way I feel when there is not post yet about the episode.

This episode was weak. How many professions has Tara had? Bartender, MMA fighter, Server, Bartender (again) and stripper.

I like Sam, but his story arc is not that interesting.

I feel this show is going down the gutter. The acting is getting weak; the story lines are silly. There is not a single strong story line that is keeping my interest.

The sad part is that I still watching. What is this season about? The whole "sangunista" & lilith I find silly.

What you guys think?

I think this was the worst episode of True Blood I have seen.

The cut from Eric saying that V would not affect them because they were vampires to them going out in a gang and acting drunk was just stupid.

Hoyt and the hate gang was absurd.

And I agree that none of the storylines in this episode were interesting (some of them were interesting in other episodes, but not in this one).

That was horrible. I wish they kill Hoyt. There is no use for him any longer in the series.

I loved the short bit with Andy at ex-Sheriff Bud's place.

My thought was why would they bring back that character after being absent for so long. My answer: he is the "dragon".

If it's true remember you heard it here first.

I was thinking the chancellor that Russel decapitated was about the same age as Russel, possibly older, since he "knew the vampire who wrote the bible was high".

As badass as Mr. Edgington can be, it seems like he killed him way to easy, not to mention the fact that you have these other powerful vamps in the room, they could have easily overpowered him I would think, but yeah, the episode was very weak and anticlimactic.

Lilith looked good though :P

Russell makes me laugh. I'm glad he is back and acting a fool. Can't believe anyone trusted him.

Sam makes me want to scratch him behind the ears and rub his tummy.

Tara needs to stay on that pole and make Pam proud.

Tara looks damn good in that outfit. The rest of the show makes little sense.

Why did Lafayette go to the brujo's house anyway? That's just asking to get your lips sewn shut and stabbed in the forehead. Just leave stuff alone.

I'm really confused by this season. So many separate story lines going on.

So was the V blood really from Lillith since the vamp's got "drunk" on it? It seemed everyone could see Lilith, so was it a shared vision and not real? After Godric appeared and told Eric that it wasn't right then he couldn't see Lilith anymore.

As soon as the old Sheriff popped up I thought he's going to turn out to be the dragon.

Any thoughts as to who the vampire is that killed Sookie's parents? Is this discussed in the books? If so spoilerize it please.

Regarding Sookie's parents & the books.
Spoiler:
In the books, their parents were killed by water fairies. The fairies of the books are divided and fighting among themselves.

The books are better. Better than this episode, at least.

BLAH BLAH BLAH, I was at 25 minutes and wanted to pull my hair out.

Why must this show wait until the very last minute to be of slight interest?

Ultimate snooze fest!

It looks like a lot of stuff is going to happen next week.

So, yeah, this episode was mostly filler.

But I'm an optimist -- I'm hoping next week'll be awesome.

Tara can still for-real die. Ugh.

It's amazing that such a game-changing episode came across as so flat and uneventful...

People keep mentioning "The Dragon". Did I miss something or is that a slip from the books?

Or wait....is that what they called the guy running the hate group?

Bud makes sense as the dragon because why bring back the old sheriff if not for this.

It doesn't make sense because his character was sympathetic to Vampire Bill in season one when all the murders were taking place and he never gave any indication that he had issues with the supernatural. Why would the character evolve to run a hate group?

Didn't he retire because he was fedup/tired of all the supernatural crap going on? Didn't he have some type of mental breakdown?

To answer your first question: yes, which is why I think he's the dragon.
Your second question: I don't remember. Someone else can answer that one.

I found myself using first speed FF and reading the captioning through several sections. I did like Lilith though even if she was only a hallucination.

I'll put it out there that Bill is the vampire that killed her parents.

After he became all docile and such, he felt bad so he started watching out for her, and thus the spark of romance blossomed.

I know I have thought of it and am sure other have as well. It's too obvious though, and this show loves it's twists. Other ideas are: that the Fae are lying and either the parents did die in an accident, or the Fae could have killed them, it was some other vampire (Eric?), or the writers want it to be obvious that it was probably Bill but somehow Sookie will forgive him. Love <3.

I don't think this will be it.

We know Bill was set to look in on Sookie after Hadley told Queen Sophie Anne Sookie's secret. At that point Sophie Anne sent Bill, who was from Bon Temps, back home to conveniently place someone there who she could trust to watch and learn about Sookie. Plus Bill has since his release from his maker shown restraint with humans.

That being said, I wondered if they were working toward a reveal of a known vampire having attacked Sookie's parents. With the only three options being Eric, Pam, or Russell, I am willing to bet it will likely be Russell.

And I think showing the killer finding Sookie's band-aid (which they've done) would be a cheat if it wasn't a vampire attracted by her blood.

Well, I think we can all agree it must have been a vampire, or a fairy, or a werewolf, or some other shifter, or a witch, or a voodoo curse, or a maenad, or rednecks who hate all of the above. Couldn't have been anything else!
