Closed Captioning on Humax DRT 400 stopped working

A few weeks ago the closed Captioning on my Humax DRT 400 stopped working.

Note this is an older model TiVo and does not have its own CC on / off option in its settings.

Checked my TV settings CC is on. Tried terning it on and off no change.

Checked A/V wires no problems.

I update Via Internet, and system info says updating is fine.

I am wondering if this is a TiVo software problem?
Has there been a recent update to TiVo software?
Is anyone else with this model TiVo having this problem?

Any suggestions?

This is a common in my experience with my Humax units. When the closed captioning disappears, just go to and play a DVD, then back to your TV program. Then the captioning reappears. Don't know what chases it to disappear, but this workaround is better than restarting the unit.

Got it. Pulled plug for 30 sec, then reset system. That did the trick. Next time I'll try the DVD suggestion.
