From this video, it looks like a really interesting cast.

The Hantz is Russel's brother and he admits to being dumb.

I had to go back and listen to Shane again because I thought he says "I'm not one of those Aryan guys." Especially after he said "If there is a blonde girl on the show with an accent, I'm screwed". After listening again, I realized he must have said arrogant.

Wil looks like a real character. I think I'm going to like him.

No Android app this year, but I believe the website will be optimized for mobile. Haven't looked into yet myself. Last year there was an app, but it cost extra on top of having the feeds.

By the numbers, it looks like Rennie & Jesse will be the next grayed out.

Didn't it say voting had no bearing on who's selected?

Some kind of feed leak today. Returnees are confirmed.

Also, someone that internet people seem to think is somewhat reliable tweeted this
Quote:
Missyae @TheGameSurvivor
Going into the house Mike's strategy was going to be to align with Dan and try to eliminated both female mentors and their teams.

Missyae @TheGameSurvivor
Mike Boogey knew who Willie and Kara were and was planning to tell them, play ball with me or I expose you

Missyae @TheGameSurvivor
Be interesting to see who picked who. Boogie wanted 3 of these 4, Ian, Frank, Shane or Kara. He knew the rookies before he entered the house
So, as happened in All-Stars, chilltown has the producer's buddy advantage of knowing everything. Or so it would seem.

What does that mean, "Mike Boogey knew who Willie and Kara were ..."? Did I miss something significant about them? (I haven't been paying a lot of attention)

All I can say is, I am glad to see that Dan is back. I love Britney, too, although I will admit I did not at first.

Boogie can get evicted first episode and I would be happy.

I would assume Willie has not revealed his reality connections and Kara may not have advised anyone she was a playboy model.

Dan would be my only reason for watching this year. My second favorite houseguest after Dr. Will.

Now, will I stick this out a whole season? Depends on 2 things. One, if the newbies are compelling. Two, how wrapped up I get in the Olympics, which is usually very. I am not sure if I want to try and catch up 2 weeks worth of episodes of BB.

What is the point of putting Janelle in there? Since she got married and had a kid her game play might be greatly diminished.

Britney was so great for laughs, I'm glad to see her back.

And she's very cute as well.

Mike Boogie is a dooosh. I really hope he is gone early in the game, not sure if I can make it a whole season with him in there.

I don't want to watch the veterans running the show and strong arming the rookies. Having them as heads of teams is a terrible idea. I hope that doesn't mean they are guaranteed to stay till the end.

Yeah I hate it. I used to be Jeff and Jordan fans but after last year I hate them. Just give us new people and let it play out.

I don't know. They have so many cameras, upgrading them all would be fairly expensive. Other reality shows and scripted shows only have a small fraction of the number of cameras used on big brother.

I agree - just go with all new people...
Or, maybe, an all-star one (with the people I want to see ...)

But why do you now hate Jeff and Jordan?

FWIW, my DirecTV guide data shows HD.

Seriously though, this day and age I can't see getting HD cameras for this show to be THAT expensive any more. Heck, we carry HD cameras around in our POCKETS these days. Yeah, I know a pro camera costs a lot more than what's on our cell phones, but I can't see them being THAT expensive anymore. And it's a one time expense, that I'm sure could be subsidized fairly easy like they do on a sports show. (HD provided by Sony....that sort of thing).

To me, there's no excuse any more.

Yeah, they really need to catch up to The Amazing Race. They had all those same excuses for shooting in SD but they eventually did the right thing and upgraded. But then they have better ratings, no?

But, this has been the same excuse (in general, not aiming this at you) that's been used for YEARS now. If they had been planning and budgeting appropriately, there's no way they, a huge revenue generating empire, couldn't have been able to be finally there with all cameras swapped out for HD.

As we've argued about in years past, it's not just cameras. There's a lot more infrastructure and computer power and hard drive space needed for HD over SD. Even rolling your eyes at that, the editing/rendering time may be a constraint for HD over SD on a show with such a quick turnaround. Who knows what the bottom line is with CBS?

Nah, they're just staying with SD to piss us off.

That's because CB freak-en S pushes back the start time due to sports. With exception of Survivor finale I refuse to watch anything on CBS that runs on a Sunday because I'm tired of having to pad by up to 90 minutes to ensure I don't miss anything. I buy the show via iTunes, commercial free.

I love HD and have had HD for many years. I don't care that much that BB is still in SD.

There is always Glass House in HD.

I'm kindof over it not being in HD, I'll be shocked if they ever go HD.
