Anger Management (Charlie Sheen) - 06/28/12

Season opener was two episodes:
Charlie goes back to therapy, Charlie & the slumpbuster.

I liked the first episode better than the second. But both gave me a few laughs.

He does have a Charlie Harper vibe to his character, which isn't a bad thing to me.

I am sticking with it.

Watched the first one. I like it, but he's definitely Charlie Harper. Just shows how much 2 1/2 men misses him.

I'm sticking with it too.

I really enjoyed it! Just watched it over dinner. Yes, definitely some Charlie Harper, but also some of Charlie's brother too - ex-wife, daughter etc. But there was also enough differences to make it interesting to me. It is on my SP now.

I didn't make it through the first episode. When I notice the laugh track that means the show is not making me laugh. Charlie Sheen was fine but it just did not engage me.

It's good enough for a summer show. I probably would not watch it if it competed with the ton of shows I watch otherwise.

Pilot was weak. Charlie without 1.5 men not as funny. 2.5 men without charlie not as funny.

Too many setup/joke situations. Not as clever as 2.5 Men (with Charlie).

Watch the first two episodes last night. Really liked them.

Loved seeing Shawnee Smith again. Very relieved to see she is not a poisonous character (like Alan's ex on 2.5 Men).

Barry Corbin is great as well. Small part but plays it perfectly.

Curious to see how involved the daughter will be. Like her so far.

The highlight for us was Trudy Wiegel (Kerri Kenney) in the second episode! She is brilliant in everything she does.

Hope this gets the extra 90 episode pick-up.

I didn't even recognize Shawnee Smith at first. She's looking good.

I waited until the third ep to post, cuz I kept expecting it to get better. Still waiting.

Interesting, I thought she looked like she was getting old. I recognized the voice before I recognized her.

Just kinda caught the beginning of an episode the other night, so no real impression of the show itself so far.

I did not like this Sleep Deprivation episode. In the cast I am finding besides Charlie, I do like the ex wife and daughter.

I wanted to like this show. I stuck with it through the 3 episodes. It just seems like it's trying too hard and I deleted the SP.

I'm giving it one more show. Third ep was very bad.

It strikes me as a show all done on the first take; good or bad. I also get very annoyed when someone says something ordinary (as in "the sky is blue today") and the laugh track makes it sound they just delivered the punch line to the Aristocrats.

I actually liked the sleep deprivation ep. Made me giggle a few times which is all I can ask from a sitcom.

Don't expect the show to last long but it's nice summer filler

I just found it and like it. Not the best, but not an utter piece of garbage like I was expecting. Sheen looks old. I can not stand to watch 2.5 anymore, much of it due to Alan, he is just not funny and he looks so bad. I guess it was just aging cause Charlie looks old to me too. He does not look as bad as Cryer though.

The punch line of The Aristocrats is actually the least funny part of the joke.
