Clearing out Recently Deleted (Elite)

So I've got a Premiere Elite that is showing 2% disk usage used. Great!

I use PyTivo to transfer content to the Tivo constantly. I usually use Push and just leave it and go on my way. Checked this morning and only about half the content I pushed last night got transferred over. Went to Pull the content this morning and it said the disk was full.

Even with only showing 2% usage.

So I went to the recently deleted and manually removed about 30 programs (hit clear, got the prompt "are you really sure", click Yes, then repeat about 30 times). Went to go transfer again and it transferred just fine.

I know the Tivo is supposed to manage all that itself and for recording season passes I'm assuming it really is, but apparently for PyTivo it doesn't? Anyone know how to get around this or how to clear all out of the Recently Deleted folder all at once (there are well over 200 items in there right now)?

There isn't a way to empty the Recently Deleted all at once. One-at-a-time is the only way.

As for why your disk is "full" ... do you have a lot of KUID (keep until I delete) Season Passes set up? If so, the TiVo has to predict how much disk space it will need to save all the upcoming recordings. This can cause missed recordings and "disk full" messages like you're experiencing.

Nope, not at all. There are only like 6 or 7 episodes recorded on there right now and maybe 5 movies. Hence my confusion. We don't set up any shows to keep more than 5 episodes.

Did you get the new software update for the Tivo?

Software updates are known to "find flaws" in the 3rd party developed apps.

Maybe the Premiere/Elite is looking for something in the data that pyTivo isn't including.

Yes, we got the update yesterday. That's entirely possible.
