Humax DRT800 freezing up problems
hello
I have:
Humax DRT800 (w/DVD player)
software version: 9.3.2b-01-2-595
modded to 470+ hours.
for the last 6 months or so, while changing from the Tivo Central screen back to live TV or going from Now Playing back to Live TV/DVD, the unit freezes up and there are multiple images and the sounds goes "weird" as well.
we have to unplug the unit from the wall (AC power) for a few minutes and then plug it back in, and after restarting it appears to be working fine again.
we have the the unit connected to a Dish Network converter box (model 311 I think) and a DTV converter box (local channels), and everything is connected to a UPS/Battery backup (voltage regulator).
the TiVo is set for Progressive output, to our 46" HDtv.
This freeze-up, problem happened a few days ago, but this time; upon restarting, we now have seem to lost access to the onscreen programming guide.
The unit still changes channels, and still records our shows on schedule, we just can't browse for other programming.
Was wondering if anyone knows of a way to get back our programming guide info?
And was also wondering if anyone knows of a way to possibly fix this apparent random DVR freeze-up problems?
I have heard that there is a way to make the Tivo defrag the drive, but I have not been successful in finding the commands to make this happen, I thought maybe this might help.
