Problem when replacing drive

I was attempting to replace a hard drive in my HD unit with a drive from DVRUpgrade. The manufacturer of my TiVo machine installed too tightly one of the screws that holds the original drive to the bracket, and I can't remove that screw from the hard drive to use it on the replacement drive. Can the replacement drive be installed with only 3 screws to secure it instead of 4? If not, where can I buy a replacement screw (it has some blue o-rings or washers of some type unfamiliar to me). If I must buy a replacement screw with washers/o-rings, what size is it and where might I find what I need? Thanks in advance.

Three screws should work fine, in fact, you can do it with two.

If you have a good pair of needle-nose pliers, you may still be able to remove the screw from the old drive, but if you've stripped the head, chances are you are not going to have much luck using it again, anyway.

I'd just go with the three screws and ensure they are tightened securely.

But, if you prefer, we have spare grommets and screws, so if you contact us directly we can send you some.

I remember using zip ties to hold dual hard drives together inside Series1 units...so I think three screws is overkill.
