Yeah that would be cool but its on 3 consecutive Saturday nights. I doubt ratings will be that good. We could always try to get together a campaign of peanuts like they did for Jericho =X

Considering that Bryan Fuller already has a new job (he's a producer on Heroes), this is even more of a fantasy than usual!

Yes, CBS is burning off the unaired episodes of Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and Dirty Sexy Money on Saturday nights this summer. They'll do PD first, then the others will follow.

for exact dates of those shows, and other summer greats like eureka, raising the bar and burn notice, i recommend this thread
Premiere Dates | Network & Cable 2008/2009
Also next seasons thread is being updated as the data comes in
Premiere Dates | Network & Cable 2009/2010

I just was looking at my season passes a few days ago looking for things to kill, and decided to keep all 3 of these for this possiblity.
So that was smart

I checked last night, and realized I had deleted PD and Eli, so I went and readded PD, and will add Eli when it shows up in the guide (unless I feel compelled to do a wishlist.)

Well, on my Tivo box I do, but on my D* HDDVR, you are limited to 50 SPs, so I have to delete stuff. I'm hoping that limitation goes away at some point.

I kept Eli and PD in hopes of a burn off.
I've already killed all the others except The Unusuals. May watch those anyway. On the other hand, the Cupids and Harper's Islands waiting on the Tivo are about to be history.

yea i hate that, had to move all my ABC SP to my hr20 because my antenna wont do VHF. So even though HR20 is ONLY for hd stuff, with usa/sci fi etc stuff on it, i get up over 50 really quickly. Which is why i rely on the list sticky on top of the now playing forum to make sure i dont forget to add back stuff.

Wow, I cancel SPs when the season finale happens, and start them up again in the fall. I HATE having inactive SPs. Irrational, I know, but it's a...thing with me. (I also put LS call numbers on the spines of my non-fiction books, if that helps with the context. )

Not only is it irrational, it's risky -- you have to pay attention to when shows are starting back up, lest you miss some. Knowing when stuff is on is the TiVo's job.
I think the networks should have to announce ON AIR when they cancel a show, the same way they told you that it was coming on. I realize that's not going to happen, but it should. Failing that, it would be nice if TiVo Inc. kept track of these things and sent out notice in their newsletter, or somesuch.

I still have a SP for Arrested Development (on FOX) and for Rock & Roll Jeopardy! Can't bear to get rid of them. I also can't imagine re-adding all the SPs every fall. I have a hard enough time re-prioritizing a few when shows change time slots, but I'd go nuts if I had to re-add every SP and figure out where in the list it should be.
Is there any performance increase on the TiVo with fewer inactive SPs? If not, what's the point?

And me as well too. Started out really liking it, but after awhile the episodes began to languish in their folder unseen... It was SUCH a great premise, but somehow the execution is lacking for me... Dawg.

It's a little better on the series 3 but it's still highly dependent on how many SP's you have. You can move all your SP's around as much as you want, as long as you don't click out of the screen or change any of the recording parameters. Once you do, yep, it's still "Please Wait" for quite a while. It certainly isn't what I'd call "fast" but it's not as long as it used to be. I have about 110 SP's and it ties mine up for about 3 or 4 minutes.
So not great, but not horrible like it once was. I used to have to simply leave the room and go do something else for awhile waiting for it to finish!

In the several years since I've done this, I've never missed a show. In the several years prior, I did miss a couple, because the Guide Data for a series changed and the old SP no longer worked.
I like this way because the idea of a cluttered SP list offends me, and because it forces me to reevaluate priorities on a regular basis, and to pay attention to what's coming up. It works for me in a way that just letting it be didn't.

while i'd be jealous of the succinct list, i would find it more stressful to ensure the passes got back on
of course those that have new dtv receivers are forced to do what you do which is one reason i hang on to the hdtivo

you must not remember the 3.1 (i think) software While that was painfully slow, i still never deleted stuff until i was positive it was canceled.

Anyone interested in seeing Lee Pace (the Piemaker) show more range than he did in this show should give The Fall a watch. I thought the movie was very well done, if a little self-indulgent. But the little girl was adorable, the cinematography fantastic and the story not bad.

What a wonderfully creative and imaginative film. It turned out to be the last film I watched with my mother, so it resonates a bit deeper than it normally would have.
