Broken Info Guide

Yesterday, my Humax DRT400 would not respond to the "info" button the remote control that brings up the guide. It previously worked, although it was slow. This time, there is no guide at all, even after waiting. The TiVo responds to the other functions of the remote.

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Can you verify that the remote is actually sending the Info IR code? To verify, there's usually a blinking light on the TiVo when it's receiving IR. Sometimes a button on the remote will go bad and no IR is sent in which case a new remote might be in order. But first try changing the batteries.

I'll try that, but doubt the batteries are the problem, as the other remote functions work. Also the TiVo light does blink when I press the info button.

If no luck with new batteries, try rebooting the TiVo by unplugging power cord for a few seconds.
