Logitech Harmony 1000 Universal Remote Control for $360
The TiVo Community Store offers preorders of the Logitech Harmony 1000 Universal Remote Control, model no. 966230-0403, for $359.99. With about $7 for shipping, that's $93 off our last mention and the lowest total price we've seen. This remote features a 3.5" touch screen color LCD, optimization for HDTV (e.g., flipping between 16:9 and 4:3) and DVR (e.g., TiVo), recharging station, programmable macros, USB connectivity for both Macs and PCs, and probably any other control you could possibly want.

This costs more than half of a S3.

I have tried a number of universal remotes with my Tivo but I always go back to the peanut. The reason? The peanut gives you quick and comfortable access to the buttons you use most with a Tivo, namely fast forward, pause and jump back. I do not even use the mute button anymore since I just pause the show. When I look at this remote I do not see these critical features in an easy position to access. You will have to pry my peanut from my cold dead hands.

It is.
It's incredibly cool for the first few days. Then you realize you're holding a 1lb chunk of plastic with both hands, and all you can do without looking at it is operate the volume and change channels. Definitely not useful nor ergonomic.

Hi,
Is the $359 price still available from the Tivo Community store? I just looked at the main tivocommunity store page and there's a graphic that says $359, but the actual item is priced at $499.
Can someone clarify this ? Are these still available and are they shipping now or still taking pre-orders?
Thanks,
Steve

It seems interesting that the price changed in the past 2 days from $359 to now $399. I even noticed the image link on the store home page just changed in the past hour or so. Can anyone explain why ?
I would have bought one at $359, but have second thoughts at almost $400.
Steve
