Videora TiVo converter
Is it just me or is the download link for this broken? Is there an alternate place to download this?
Thanks,
Roger

Works fine here:
http://www.pspvideo9.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2579
(Click the link in the forum post)
There is definately something fishy with their page though - ran into it when I DL the software yesterday. Comes up with some login box....
EDIT: It does seem intermittent. Works once, then doesn't, then does...
EDIT: Direct link to the file:
http://download.videohelp.com/~pspvi...er_Install.exe

Not so much a broken link, as just oddly behaiving website...
Click on the download link, and then you get a page with two mirrors listed, then after a few seconds, it takes you to a broken page on it's own. If you click on the VideoHelp mirror link fast enough, it will take you to a page for VideoHelp. Press back, and the download will begin.
Under the covers the download url was:
http://download.videohelp.com/~pspvi...er_Install.exe
But I have no idea if it will work when linked directly (it may check redirects, cookies, etc...)

Don't expect much. I only got one file converted and then deleted the program. The quality is HORRIBLE!

What do you use instead? Videora uses ffmpeg under the hood, which in my experience does a decent enough job on most source material. I'm sure there are commercial encoders that can do better, but considering the cost ($0) , ffmpeg meets and usually exceeds my expectations, quality-wise.

I used it for DVD ->TiVo. The picture was flaky, visibly dropped frames(expecially in high action scenes), scattered here and there from time to time, washed out.
What settings do you recommend for best performance. I would love to get this thing working and looking good!

ummm not sure, it's on my home computer. But there was a -1 async command or something that helps it out as well.
