I hate the title and the fact it is in ABC Family but Amy Sherman-Palladino is enough to get me to watch. Along with Kelly Bishop being in this:

I'll be watching. Gilmore Girls was a great show, and I will appreciate this if it captures some of that magic.
That being said, I despise AS Paladino for what she did to Gilmore Girls at the end of season 6. Scorched earth policy much?
Also, if you want to get people to actually watch the show, I would change the title to something like 'Bunheads - from the creator of Gilmore Girls' since there may be people on here that liked GG but won't get the title.

Sorry but I got spoiled by the Coneheads so nothing can compare.

Every time I hear the name "Bunheads" I think of cinnamon rolls.

WTF is a bunhead? The title made me think of Princess Leia.

Guilty. I'm in for the pilot.

Will try only for Sutton Foster.
Huh. I don't think I am, actually. I never watched Gilmore Girls so it doesn't have that appeal for me. It just looks like a dance show that isn't really about dance -- much like Make It Or Break It wasn't at all about gymnastics. And since I suffered through that monstrosity, I wasn't going to sign up for this one!
But, speaking of dance shows, I have been watching Breaking Pointe.

Though I haven't seen it yet, I did watch some of Make It or Break It and this is potentially so much better than that.

+1, and that's enough for me to automatically skip anything she puts out in the future.

So, what is the show? A contest or a drama? The video link above just gives me a black screen with "this video is private" across the screen in white letters. Never saw Gilmore Girls, so I expect someone from that is either an actress or a hostess or a judge?

Fixed. It is about a Las Vegas showgirl who marries a rich dude moves to where he lives and teaches dance school.

I watched every season of Gilmore Girls, and I'll watch this show, too.
Sorry, can't turn in my man card. It was confiscated years ago. :D

I watched, even though it's not the kind of thing I usually go for, and I never saw Gilmore Girls.
It was pretty good, especially for a summer series, with a good number of chuckles, and the teenaged characters weren't annoying (I'd expected them to be).

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I was suprised. I have never watched a series on the Family Channel (was it the Disney Channel at one time?) and the ones I tried were really "meh". Wizards of Waverly Place - I don't think I got through the first episode. Too kidish for me. This is for teenagers and adults. Edgy, drinking, sex mentioned etc. Bunheads seems to be slang for ballarinas.

Disney Channel and ABC Family (formerly the Family Channel) are two completely different channels (although both under the Disney umbrella.)

I just poked my eyes out halfway through the 1 minute promo...

After watching that promo I'd say the name is the best part.

Hmm... about halfway through the pilot and I still don't know what I think of the show.
Feels kind of slow. Not as much energy as something like "Make It or Break It." The lead kind of bores me. But I love Alan Ruck, and this is the first time I've seen Kelly Bishop and she's awesome. And it took me a day or two, but the name finally clicked (Chorus Line). Plus, I like the choreographer.
So far, I'm entertained, but I don't know if I'd go out of my way to watch it.

I enjoyed the pace also. Things don't have to be rapid fire, joke after joke.

I liked GG (and that other show with Efram, which I put in the same boat) about 7 years ago...don't think I could get back into something like it.
Speaking of Efram - I thought he was going to Julliard....why is he a cop now???

Ephram Brown from Everwood? He became a cop after his true love Amy dumped him, turned evil, and vowed revenge against this rich family in the Hamptons. ;)

Didn't she spend some time in a dysfunctional family as well? Or, more dysfunctional than the Abbots?

Yes, a family from whom you should never ever accept a dinner invitation unless you enjoy watching emotional meltdowns.

Disney Channel and ABC Family (formerly the Family Channel) are two completely different channels (although both under the Disney umbrella.)
ABC Family was previously:
- FOX Family Channel (1998-2001)
- The Family Channel (1990-1998)
- The CBN Family Channel (1988-1990)
- CBN (1977-1988)
When CBN (Pat Robertson's organization) transfered the network to FOX, they made it a requirement that the word "Family" remain in the network name for as long as the network exists, no matter how many times it changes hands.

My favorite 'Family Channel' show was Greek. A great show, and it showed a LOT of debauchery for being on ABC Family.

Everwood, that's right.
Thanks for catching me up, people !! :)
It would appear that in Everwood, Revenge is best left to the Rookie Blue and not just Brothers and Sisters.
