When I turned on my TV this morning and hit the TiVo button, I got a pop up message about now having the new release. I read through the message then selected the delete option. But instead of deleting it, it left it in the messages. I had to go into the messages screen to really delete it. Nothing like the very first thing you encounter in the new release being a bug - very confidence inspiring :-).

Pretty much every release with such a message has behaved that way for me, so it's not a new bug at least.

Very true. We should probably add it to the bug list. I will post in the appropriate thread.

You know, I think that happened to me, too

I want to say this even happened when the S3/TivoHD's got update messages.
I just found it a minor annoyance. I mean, how many times did we get an update message? Twice a year at most?
Edit: IOW, not a bug TiVo should be concerned about. Maybe when all the other ones are taken care of first. :p

It's probably not a bug, but a way to make sure people who always just skip messages to see it.

In that case, it is still a bug, because they shouldn't offer a delete option in the popup :-).
