View Full Version : The Voice - Final 4 Selected - 05/01/2012
Team Christina
Christina gave 50 points to both contestants (Chris and Lindsey)
Audience voted 54 to 46 in favor of Chris
Chris wins by a score of 104 to 96
Team Adam
Adam scored it 60 - 40 in favor of Tony
Audience voted 52 - 48 in favor of Katrina
Tony wins by a 108 to 92 margin
Team Blake
Blake gave 50 points to both contestants (Jermaine and Erin)
Audience voted 73 - 27 for Jermaine
Jermaine wins by a 123 - 77 margin
Team CeeLo
CeeLo scored it 60 -40 in favor of Juliet over Jamar
Audience voted 61 - 39 in favor of Juliet
Juliet wins by a 121 - 79 margin
- Adam was the only judge whose scoring affected the actual outcome.
- In my opinion Jermaine was not good enough to justify that margin.
- I give CeeLo credit for not doing a 50/50 split again this year
- Second year in a row Christina and Blake played it straight down the middle. I respect them a little less for that.

I can't believe Dia Frampton has a rap section in the middle of her new song. Based on her style last year I never would have guessed it.
I rather liked Vicki Martinez's song.

Well, it's gonna be Juliet (which I said several weeks back).
I am kinda pissed that Katrina got bumped - she is much more interesting than Tony. But he won't win anyway.

Adam has his head up his ass.
I agree.
Adam has his head up his ass.
Right or wrong at least he made a choice and didn't just split the vote like Blake and Christina. It was a close audience vote as Katrina only outscored Tony by a 53 to 48 margin.
Last year it was three women and one man in the final 4 and the man won so maybe this year will be the exact opposite since we have 3 men and one woman in the final 4 this year.

Juliet really did knock it out of the park last night. But I'm sad I won't see Jamar next week. I love his voice and his style of music.
I thought it was interesting that Cee Lo's vote so closely matched the audience's.
Not surprised at Jermaine or Chris. And I was fine with either Tony or Katrina. Both good.

Yeah, but you also said Hollie was going to be gone weeks ago. :p
No telling what the voting audience will do.

I'm hoping the guys will split most of the girly vote, leaving the winning voting margin for Juliet. I do like her far better than any of the guys that got put through.

I said I WANTED Hollie gone weeks ago. And I say it every week. Nobody seems to be listening!
After Christina booted Jesse, I predicted Juliet. I still think she can win. I hope so...

I was sad to see Katrina go. Although I do agree that it was better than splitting it 50/50. I just wish he'd gone the other way.

Me, too.
Also pulling for Juliet.

Someone needs to remind Adam that the name of the show is "The Voice". All he could say is he and Tony were "bros" and they just had a connection from the start. Poop. It's supposed to be based on their talent, not how much you like the person as a buddy. Plus, Tony showed his true colors by whining to the press about how Xtina was "trying to get him" kicked off, yada, yada. Katrina handled it all quite well though. Good for her.
So it looks like the majority of folk, me included, are rooting for Juliet. I hope she pulls out another great performance like this week because she has been somewhat uneven through the competition.
Although I would have preferred Katrina in the final I have to admit that Tony is the better entertainer onstage. And people are condemning Adam for his vote because it actually made a difference but Katrina barely squeeked by on the audience vote. It was the smallest of margins. Also, nobody complained last year when he did the same for Javier, although Javier didn't need the help.

Adam has his head up his ass.
I agree.
I have zero idea why the audience likes Jermaine - he's a mediocre lounge singer.
Juliet has been the winner of this thing since she sang Roxanne.

And I agree with you, too. Tony is a better performer, but the show is the VOICE. Maybe Katrina doesn't dance, but she sings better than anyone there except Juliet. And you hit it on the nose with Jermaine. He just lacks sincerity when he sings. Compare the emotion he put into "Open Arms" vs Erin. I think Erin should have beat him hands down.

I guess I am the only one rooting for Chris Mann. I think he's the total package. I LOVE his voice!

I saw her live in one of her headlining shows in January. Since she obviously wasn't touring with Kid Cudi, she did the rap part herself in that song, and did it quite well. Now THAT I never would've guessed!

I like Chris Mann but I think he blew it on Ave Maria.
One of my favorite favorite songs and it just felt like the moment where it is supposed to soar - he choked.
I was disappointed.
Chris Mann is nothing but a mediocre pop-opera Josh Groban wannabe at best. He'll never write his own songs or make any sort of real artistic statement. He'll make 'nice' sounding records that some people will buy for a little while and eventually be reduced to covers of Nat King Cole on Christmas albums. He truly sucks ass.

I think Juliet will probably win and she has knocked it out of the park a couple of times, but I thought Jamar had more range and ability to go places with various styles. I hated that both of them were on the same team. A spot that Jermaine is taking up could've been had by Jamar in the finals. Jermaine always ends up over singing at some point in his songs. If he stays under control he's pretty good, but I think CeeLo had the best two singers of the final 8. To be honest I wasn't very impressed with his team after the blind auditions, but after after the battle rounds my wife and I both thought his team was the strongest. I'll miss Katrina too. I really liked her for some reason.
