Most likely to win from this group:
Ryan Andreas (the "Angel" singer) - he's a young male singer; that seems to be the trend.

Definite possibilities for the final 10 / the tour:

Vegas Birds - if she really does have different birds who can do different things, and none of them freeze on camera (see any number of Carson-era Tonight Show episodes for this), she has a decent shot of being the next Terry Fator, although can you make a 90-minute stage show entirely with birds?

Frank Miles (the Stun Gun juggler) - his problem: juggling is a "one-trick pony" kind of thing. It's like QuickChange; it's good, but you eventually run into a wall.

Miami All-Stars (dance troupe) - they'll probably end up in the finals, like some of the "family music groups" in the past. A number of Branson theaters are probably eyeing them as I write this.

Sh'boss Boys (really young "whappers" (rappers)) - cute, but cute only gets you so far.

Team iLuminate - probably the most likely to become a Vegas act first.

Note that there will be another "YouTube's Got Talent" round this year - not surprising, considering how well last year's YTGT "winner" has done.

I thought Team iLuminate was amazing. Better than Fighting Gravity, IMO.

Agree with most of what you said.

I would hate for another "young male" singer to win AGT. There is so much talent out there, and there are plenty of other singing shows they can win.

I don't see Vegas Bird lady making it to the live shows. Cute, but that act would get old real fast.

If the juggler has more than juggling, he could go far. He has a great stage personality. (So did the Unicyclist).

Team iLuminate is definately the next Defying Gravity. My first thought last night was that they were very raw. Assuming they get the Live shows (very likely), a good producer and costume maker could elevate their act to a possible winning act.

Was there a guy that was a "fast talker?" My cousin has a bunch of YouTube videos of him speed talking and supposedly AGT flew him to LA to audition for the show. Not sure when/if he's supposed to be on.

I hope the winner isn't yet another singer, we have enough of those compititions.

Seemed like there were a lot less of the 'joke' auditions.

Loved seeing the 50 yo dancer-singer taking a fall. He really thought he was going to do well. Very upset that he wasn't allowed to continue, he was convinced he was going to the next round.

I loved the unicycle guy. Its hilarious how they showed him using the hand sanitizer beforehand and then it all tied together at the end. I wasnt sure if he was that bad or just pulling Howie's chain. I guess now we know. That was great. LOL

I dont expect him to make it super far but that was definitely something to see.

The fake tension between Piers and Howie is going to get tired, as if it wasn't tired last night.

I've never watched the show before (didn't see how you could judge a juggler against a singer against a dancer, etc.) and came away from it feeling it had a lot of fakeness to it. The Piers/Howie dislike and the Howie germ thing seemed too played up. I also thought all the goofy offstage stuff with the host was grating. I also really wondered if that guy who cartwheeled off the stage was a set up.

On the plus side, I liked Sharon Osborne. And while I was initially thinking that acts like talking birds and jugglers and unicyclists were cheesy, in the end they were pretty entertaining. That sort of vaudeville/variety show stuff doesn't really have much of a showcase these days and it was different to see it.

I don't think it's fake. The last time Howie was on Stern he talked about how much he feels Pierce hates him and how he loves to torture him backstage. It was pretty funny stuff.

Howie told the crew that he was sick of being called “annoying” by fellow ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge Piers Morgan, so he’s decided to embrace it and become the world’s most annoying man: “I love to just prey on that.” So far it’s working: “Last week on the show he told me to go f’ myself.” Piers even lashed out when Howie interrupted his nap with an airhorn: “He had a bowl of candy and he whipped it at me.”

If it was just the one bird, or if all of her birds do the same thing, then you're probably right, but if she was serious about, for example, the "mind reading" bird (and didn't she say one did card tricks?), she might advance a few rounds.

It depends on how these "other birds" come across - if they're too much like the first one (the way QuickChange's different routines were all the same routine with different clothes), you're probably right in thinking she'll have an early exit.

I can't believe the fart impressionator didn't make it.

What was up with people falling off the stage? Or was it 'staged'? ;)

The first guy had an awesome face plant!!! That fall was the only reason he wasn't put through, right?!?

If you're halfway skilled at juggling you can juggle anything. There's a guy out there who juggles running chain saws.

The guy who juggled stun guns had a very long handle and the water tank was likely on a rubber mat.

It's pretty old hat when a unicylist pretends to lose his balance. It was more impressive to see the way he mounted the thing.

Were we supposed to believe that the bird was doing all of the talking for the 'bird parts' of that act? It seemed to me that she was doing more of a ventriliquist act with a bird instead of a dummy. Was I not seeing that right?

Might be, but a ventriliquist won it a while back. And he was controlling the mouth of the dummy...not a bird trained to move its mouth when asked to speak.

Even if she is faking it (which personally I don't think so); its still entertainment.

I think she was just echoing what the bird said to make it more clear to the audience.

She did do that, but it looked to me like her lips were moving while the bird was speaking, which is what makes me wonder if it really was the bird speaking.

I think it's wrong that they let people who they know will NOT make it even close to the finals thru...and let people with actual talent slip thru the cracks. I think they made another one of those situations when they let Ryan Andreas go home. He deserves to be in the competition and let America decide...

Im new to the thread so i cant put in a linke...but look up Ryan Andreas petition and sign it!

They have to have a variety of acts. I don't remember who Ryan was, but I assume either a singer or a dancer, and there are a metric crap ton of those.
