View Full Version : Guided Setup fails on unsub unit

I installed a TurboNet card in my Series 1 and changed the dialing options to use it. That works and I was able to do the daily call download successfully. However, during the first call in Guided Setup I connect ok and get the "Clock Updated" message but get a "Call Interrupted" message on the Downloading step. Is this Tivo's way of telling me that I don't have a subscription? I found a post from 2006 that seemed to indicate that Guided Setup works for an unsub unit.

Guided setup still works for an unsubbed unit. Other than that I never had an S1 or a turbonet card, so I can't be of much use.

I finally got the connection to work although it took an extra try because it downloaded ok but hung up on "Hanging Up". I did look at the other thread but thought my problem might be the unsub unit.

I had my S1 Philips sitting on a shelf, and set it up to see if it still worked. I had to go through GS since we had moved, and the turbonet card worked fine. Did it after we went off DST, so don't know if I got or still need that patch.
