Okay, I can get the files from my TIVO HD to my computer fine using kttmg. Standard res plays fine on the wdtv live player or cirago player, but hi res doesn't and looking thru the forums it seems it is because of audio conversion issues.

I am wondering if there is a setting in TVdecode that can make the resulting MPG have all one audio stream (eliminating commercial problems that might have say 2 channel audio or whatever) Or is there something in KTTMG that I can set. I don't need to encode the videos or anything, MPGs play fine on the device but when converting the hires something doesn't work. I have searched and searched and have another thread going about this, but hopefully this will attract the right eyes to fix the problem.

In Kttmg, I select the metdata option and the decrypt option and that generates the MPG file that plays fine on my computer on VLC or WMP but the stand alone devices cant read the stream properly.

I don't own nor want to buy womble or video redo because I don't care about editing, I just want to play the files back when I travel and would like to do it in HD.

For complete details on what I have been thru there is a long discussion already in the tivo chat lounge, but the current question is not being answered. I am guessing it is just a switch in Tivodecode or kttmg that I am getting wrong but cannot figure out how. I have spent hours/days on this site and on my computer and cannot find the answer. I am sure somebody here takes the hi res video from their tv and plays it on one of these players, what I am doing wrong or how do you do it.

Thanks in advance for your help
