I have an original S3 (two CableCards required) and am receiving a black screen and no audio on one tuner. "Basic cable" stations come in fine (channel 1-100, give or take). However, it seems that anything that's part of a "package" is not (family tier, sports & info tier, etc.). I can receive the local stations in HD (channel 705 - 710), but not the "cable stations" (ESPN-HD, MTV-HD, TNT-HD, etc.).

Note that the problem only affects CableCard 1. CableCard 2 is fine.

I also have a TiVo HD XL with one M-Card that is not having problems.

I called Cox and they "hit the card" but it didn't fix it.

I have a truck roll scheduled for Saturday. Is there anything else I should test before then?

Thanks,
John

same here, since the tuner box was added to my nerwork, Tivo has gone to heck

no picture not audio, extreme pixelation with the HD channels

the bright house techs that come our know little to nothing about the Tivo

I think it's a scam ploy on BH to try an force the tivo user to use theor outdated DVR thats 15 yrs ole t3chnology

Try a hard reboot first.
If that does not work:
Pull the bad card from it's socket and reinsert it. Then have the card re-paired. I just lost one tuner on an original S3 and the hard reboot fixed it.

The morning after I called Cox, most stations on all tiers were working. I noticed three that weren't, and I've had problems with those stations before. I called Cox to have them hit the card again, and he said that the previous hit was still pending.

Anyway, the tech came out yesterday and replaced both cards. I'm not sure why he replaced #2 since it was working (and I hate it when people mess with things that are working). Anyway, both tuners are now receiving all stations.
