I just purchased and installed a Premiere XL. When the cable guy, Grandecom here in Texas, installed the CableCard, I thought everything was fine, but found that one of our channels which is supposed to be showing CBS and Tivo lists as CBS is actually showing LoneStarSports. Anyone had a channel receive the wrong signal for that channel? If so how did you get it fixed?

On another note, I was at first frustrated by the interface speed then I ran a direct cable from my router to the box and it made a huge difference. With that in mind I relocated by Wireless N router to give a better signal and got results similar to the long cable that I had run across the ground to check. All of that to say, the interface speed was in the internet signal, not the Tivo box.

Thanks, but the problem is not with the TIVO lineup. Maybe I didn't make that clear. Tivo shows the information for the network (CBS) that should be on the channel. The actual programming however is showing channel 131 where 802 should be.

I think this is a cable company problem, but so far they have been unable to solve it. Surely someone has an educated opinion as to whether it is a TIVO problem or a cable company problem and what it might be.

Any input would be appreciated.

I recently got my first tivo and had the same problem... guide showing a different station than what was being aired. I ran the guided setup again and answered the few questions about what I was suppose to receive on channels (had to use my cable's ch line up to make sure I answered correctly) that fixed my problem and I've been good to go since. Hope that helps.

Thanks TarHeelGal. I've run the setup a few times to see if it would update, but I am still getting the one SD channel (what should be 131) feeding on channel 802 a HD channel. Tivo correctly maps 802 as CBS, but the feed is not CBS. The cable guys are working on the problem, but I just want to make sure that it is on their end and not some way that it is on Tivo's.

I had the same problem. The solution was to hookup a Tuning Adapter provided by the cable company. Apparently, the Tivo Premiere cableCARD was unable to handle all my cable company's authorization protocols for the premium channels. Specifically, I was getting a black screen on 3 HD channels, and 2 channels had the wrong program content. thorne

Thanks for the information. I will talk to them about that.
