Am I missing something? My old S2 had a standby button on the front panel. The S3 does not. I have an UPS on my S3 and HD units sized for the unit and external drive...not the TV. So when the poser goes out (about once/month) I have no way of shutting off the Tivo gracefully. Am I missing something?

Yank the cord or shut off the UPS. No need to do anything else.

Your S2 didn't have a way to do that either, Standby just blanks the outputs, everything else was running.

You could memorize the sequence to get to restart in the menu next time it's working.

Something like TiVo-down-down-down-down-down-select-down-down-select-thumbsdown-thumbsdown-thumbsdown but I'm just guessing.
Also beware that if you're already in the TiVo menu pressing it again will go to the now-playing list.

I just yank the power cord.
