Are there any eSata drives other than Western Digital that can be used on a TIVO HD? Had the 500GB WD and it died after the warrenty ran out, and WD won't help unless paid to do so. I noticed in another forman that failure for WD expanders in 12 to 18 months was 39%, which does not say alot of WD.

You may want to post in a more appropriate forum. This one is reserved for people with Comcast DVRs that have TiVo software downloaded onto them. I don't believe those DVRs are expandable with external drives. Thus no one in this forum is likely to be able to answer you.

Since you have an HD, I suggest you ask this in the S3 forum area where the HD model is discussed in detail.
