I am getting my Premiere tomorrow and I just called Cox to schedule service call to get my CableCard installed but when I was talking to tech support guy I was told I will not be able to use OnDemand service something I was already aware of but I was also told that with CableCard I will not have interactive guide at all? Now I can see/record guide for 2 weeks but with CableCard I will not be able to do that. Is this true? or there is some miscommunication? What is point of having Tivo if I cant record, something is not right here....

Not true, you won't have "their" guide. You will have TiVo's guide, cause, after all no guide=no recording.

I thought so....I was telling cox guy that was not true but he was saying otherwise.

On that topic, since I'm coming over from DirecTV, how often is the TiVo guide data not up to date?

I assume it's not very often (it happened even on DirecTV from time to time). Just curious how good TiVo is about keeping it up to date.

Depending on when the TiVo updates, a change in an evening's lineup could be caught on the very same day.
