I am wondering about the TV shows available from the network web sites. Can the Tivo Premiere search for these? Fox, ABC, NBC, Syfy, etc, etc have episodes available to watch online, many in HD. The Premiere announcement mentions "web sites" as available to search.

One major benefit of having these available is that it could be used to resolve recording conflicts. Say I have 3 shows I want to record at one time. Several folks here are upset about the lack of a third tuner. If one of the shows I want is available from a network website, I can record/download that one later, and use the 2 tuners to record the other two shows. Conflict resolved.

Just got my Tivo this week and have this very question, I am going to be setting it up and exploring some of the search and record features. I will let you know what I find out unless some posts before the weekend.

I also cancelled DirecTV so this is a bit of an experiment to go sans satellite.

Some sort of business agreement would have to be struck with the content provider for this to work. At this time, only a few similar services are available to the TiVo, such as Netflix, Blockbuster, Amazon, and YouTube.

No, it cannot. The content on the web sites is offered under certain terms, so agreements must reached to offer that content on a set-top box connected to a TV. Generally, the networks don't want their web content accessible on TVs.
